Rules
for Showing |
In-hand
classes |
1: |
All ponies exhibited
shall be shown in "natural" condition. |
2: |
Trimming of any
area of coat, mane, forelock, ears, whiskers and jaw line, under-belly,
tail or feathers is not allowed. |
3: |
Clipping, plaiting,
the application of make-up or artificial colouring, or the attachment
of any false hair pieces is not allowed. |
4: |
Washing and brushing
and the application of Hoof Oil is allowed. |
Ridden
and/or driving classes |
1: |
Ponies shall
be shown as in the "in-hand" class above except that,
apart from the legs, they may have been clipped. Any pony that
has been clipped cannot be entered in in-hand classes until the
clipped areas have fully re-grown. |
Driving
classes |
1: |
Ponies shall
be shown according to the two classes above except that trimming
of tails is permitted. Any pony that has had its tail trimmed
cannot be entered in in-hand or ridden classes until the tail
is fully re-grown. |
General
rules |
1: |
All ponies exhibiting
in "riding" and "performance" classes shall
be four years old or over. |
2: |
Colts and stallions,
2 years old and over, must be shown in a suitable bit. |
3: |
A pony shall
not knowingly be exhibited if bred, previously or currently owned,
leased or produced by the judge, his/her immediate family or
his/her employer. |
