Dartmoor Pony Training Centre Wins National Award

Home

Dartmoor Pony Training CentreDartmoor Pony Training Centre has recently scooped a national award for the work they do educating people how to handle feral Dartmoor ponies.

Natalie Torr and Kathryn Hulland from the Centre attended the award ceremony at the House of Lords where Wetnose Animal Aid awarded them the Best Training Workshop award.

John Altman otherwise known as "Nasty Nick" from Eastenders presented the award giving a brief speech on why it is so important that people are educated before taking on something like a wild pony.

Nick Knowles, Lorraine Chase and Jenny Seagrove also showed their appreciation for the work they do at the Centre and it is hoped through the event the Dartmoor Pony Training Centre can find themselves a patron.

The winter has certainly been a tough one at the Centre as they have taken on many more ponies than expected and are now full with ponies looking for a new home. If you could help by giving one of these ponies a loving home please get in touch.

Details of the work done by the Dartmoor Pony Training Centre and their contact details can be found at www.dptc.org.uk
