Description:
Rhododendrons are evergreen shrubs which can grow up to 5m in height. There are many different varieties. They have large, oblong, smooth leathery leaves. The flowers are trumpet-shaped 40mm to 60mm long and can be a variety of colours. They form in large terminal clusters of 8 to 15 flowers. Many are spotted on the inside .
 
Symptoms:
Abdominal pain, salivation, diarrhoea, constipation, staggering, trembling, weak pulse, slow irregular breathing and collapse.

Notes:
Rhododendrons are generally only eaten when food is scarce. Poisoning is normally associated with animals gaining access to woodland or gardens. Rhododendron can kill after a few hours of it being eaten
