Have
you wanted to own a native pony but don't have the space or resources
to do so? If you have, the Exmoor Pony Centre might have the
answer. They run an adopt an Exmoor Pony scheme, where for just
a few pounds a year you can become the adopted "parents"
of one of their ponies. The Centre is the base of the Moorland
Mousie Trust which became a registered charity in 2000 with the
aim of promoting and caring for the breed.
Adopters receive a welcome pack, which includes a photograph,
exclusive pin-badge, certificate and then regular quarterly updates
plus photos for 12 months. Ponies are based on Exmoor, in County
Durham and Northumberland and adopters are encouraged to visit
their ponies.
