Shetland ponies have been introduced
as a special conservation measure to help improve the habitat
of Penhale Army Training Estate's sand dunes in Cornwall. Nine ponies have been loaned by English Nature to graze on the scrub and tall grasses which have started to invade the marshy dune hollows.
